Just arrived on 12/7. This may well be the finest known example of this rarest-of-the-rare Camco set. This drumset belonged to a life-long music educator and he was the original owner. Set appears to have never been gigged. As we all know, Camco drums are superb. The quality was always superb and the sound is truly outstanding. Original sets that come to market do not last long.
Now, this could be the cleanest example ever seen, which is rare enough on its own, but it doesn't end there. This set is 8x12, 9x13, 14x14, 14x18BD!!! and 5.5x14 COB snare drum, plus all the stands and pedals. Everything in wonderful condition and the rarest and most desirable Camco sizes. Gloss lacquer over the maple shells. The only small issues are some scratched on the 14x14 and residue on the bass drum batter hoop. And, the bass drum even has the factory installed ride cymbal arm bracket for those using the set in the 12/14/18 configuration. The set originally came from Frank's Drum Shop, which was the world-class Chicago based drum shop in the 60s through the 70s, and some of the drums still have the Frank's sticker. The natural maple shells have the original factory gloss lacquer. Stunning in every way! More pics to come shortly, as well as video. Meanwhile, contact me at vintagedrums@aol.com or by text at 630-865-6849 for more information. Please note: This set will be sold with all drums and stands and pedals. We're not going to split anything out here. This set deserves to remain 100% intact. Price will be commensurate with the rarity and condition of this set. A true time capsule piece. Cymbals in pictues are not included.
