1. 2025 Maxwell Drums IL

As we quickly moved towards 2025 we’re happy to announce some new changes to the Maxwell Illinois shop. Here are a few highlights, (and there will be more to come):

 - We're in the process of setting up the Gretsch Midwest Showroom. This will be your Midwest focal point for That Great Gretsch Sound. We'll have all of our current stock, including all of our special finishes, as well as the entire batch of 11 sets that were used for the 2024 Monterey Jazz Festival.

- Speaking of special finishes, with Gretsch those finishes include Mardi Gras, Fiesta pearl, Burgundy sparkle, Cameo Coral, Espresso Burst, White Satin Flame, Peacock Satin Flame, Black Satin Flame. Our special Ludwig finishes will continue and will include Rose Marine pearl and the new Fireburst pearl.

- In 2024 we established a 1000 square-foot Craviotto showroom at a museum. We will be adding more product to that showroom and museum in 2025 and it will truly become your single source for all things Craviotto. Stop by and see examples ranging from Johnny's formative period in the 80s up through the present day. Also, the museum houses my personal Craviotto collection of sets and snares.

- Vintage. As most of you know, I am quite fond of Vintage drums from the legacy USA manufacturers. We’re going to offer you even more of the finest quality vintage drums you’ve ever seen. Many of these will come from my personal collection which has been assembled over the past 50 years. Others will come from finally curated consignment items that will be offered to you. All of these items represent the finest quality from the great American drum manufacturers of the 50s through the 70s. Many pieces here will truly be collector items suitable for the finest collections, but of course they’re still beautiful playing instruments and should be used to make music.

- Vintage Museum: Of course, we'll still have our vintage museum which includes items used by Louie Bellson, Joe Morello, Harold Jones, Art Blakey, Peter Erskine, Roy Haynes, Elvin Jones, Jo Jones, and more. You'll also see some of the most unique and rare vintage sets and and snare drums including three original Gladstone snares (including Billy's personal gold hardware/gold painted Gretsch Gladstone).

- We'll continue with our Reverb store, as well as posting special items on my website. We will also be using Facebook and Instagram more frequently so we can reach an even wider audience with these wonderful items. We'll also be expanding our partnership with Rockhurst Auctions in 2025 to reach an even wider audience.

Stay tuned for more!!!
