Craviotto 6.5x14 Timeless Timber birdseye maple/nickel hardware. This drum was made by Johnny as a "SPL" for Wayne Salzmann. Made from one of the "cream of the crop" shells that Johnny held back. The finest of the Timeless Timber shells. Extremely rare since Johnny only did a small number of 6.5x14 Timeless Birdseye drums. He did a small run of 5 drums for me (with gold hardware) and also did a few one-offs, such as this one. This drum is especially interesting since the grain is what Johnny used to call "curly-bird" because the shell exhibits both birdseye and curly maple, both of which are exceedingly rare on their own, and almost never seen within the same shell.
