It's time to "Go For The Gold"! Gretsch has discontinued the gold hardware as an option for their drums. As a result, there was only enough hardware left to build 5 complete kits and we bought it all. And, we asked Gretsch to create 5 very special, unique sets, the likes of which you will never see again. These will be sold by us as the Steve Maxwell Gretsch Gold Series. The gold hardware option is stunning and looks incredible. It is especially beautiful on the sets we have selected for this run. There will only be 5 sets and each is unique. This is your only chance to purchase these. Not only are these incredible sounding Gretsch USA Custom drums, but the beauty and uniqueness of these sets makes them wonderful collector's items as well. 2) 8x12, 14x14, 12x16 bass drum, 5.5x14 10 lug snare drum. Burgundy (merlot) sparkle. Burgundy sparkle is also one of our proprietary finishes with Gretsch. It is incredible with gold hardware. Prior to this offering only one other set was built with gold hardware and burgundy sparkle, and that set was built for me personally about 7 years ago and it is a bop kit in my personal collection. This set is a Jazz Legends series with the 12x16 bass drum and will be the only set ever produced in these sizes, in this finish, and with gold hardware. Coming to my NY store.
